As some of you may have heard, Beast creates the occasional ALL VEGETARIAN meal.

Despite the fact that we are somewhat known for cooking meat, we adore cooking vegetables even more!

Charitable Dinner for GeerCrest Farm - April 28, 2014

Naomi and the crew at BEAST believe that the future of food lies in educating our children about where it comes from. GeerCrest Farm is a non-profit organization just outside Portland that focuses on teaching kids what farm life is like, helping to ensure a future generation of concerned and involved citizens.

 

At this point in their trajectory, GeerCrest is faced with a financially urgent request. They've started a Kickstarter campaign, and in order to keep the farm up and running as an educational facility, they need to meet their $24,000 goal.

 

In October 2013, Naomi's daughter, August, spent a three-day retreat at GeerCrest with her 7th grade class. At that time, Naomi visited the farm to help teach the kids how to make chicken & dumplings using all of the product they'd harvested throughout the day.

 

Naomi was so moved by the transformation that the kids had made from city life to understanding their connection to the food system that she's making a plea on behalf of the farm to have people visit their Kickstarter and give as much as they possibly can if they believe as we do that this is important.

 

As a special way to introduce people to GeerCrest on a more profound level, BEAST has decided to host an inspired spring meal featuring some of the loacl and hand-harvested product straight from the farm.

Join us in to ring in the New Year.  Our New Year's Eve dinner is a special menu created for the Holiday each year. There will be two seatings, one at 5:30 pm and the other at 9:00 pm. The cost is $175 per person for the six-course meal and wine pairings.

Benefit Dinner Monday - November 19, 2012

Beast will be holding a special benefit dinner for those affected by Hurricane Sandy on Monday, November 19, 2012.

Naomi will be joined by Jason French of Nedd Ludd and Aaron Barnett of St. Jack to make a memorable six-course meal. There will be one seating at 7 pm, and the cost will be $250 per person for the six courses with wine pairings.
